Classic Lemon Drizzle



My classic British favourite Lemon Drizzle sponge reminds me of sitting outside in the garden sipping tea with the smell of fresh grass.

I am generous with the lemon syrup topping, which is carefully added upon cooling. I love watching the syrup slowly disappear into the sponge and having to wait until its perfectly cool before I can remove it from the tin and delve in!

This super soft and fluffy sponge will melt perfectly in your mouth and give you a lemony burst flavour.

Partners well with English breakfast tea or a fruity filter coffee. Try Costa Rican coffee beans for their delicious fruitiness.
